Build your own plugin template

Every plugin opens in Channel Detail with a Generic layout of all its parameters. A template replaces it with the controls you use, laid out your way. It is saved per plugin, so every instance of that plugin on any track or project opens with it.

Needs the unlock

  1. Clean up a plugin's auto-generated layout

    Start a template from the detected layout or from scratch, and add controls by listen.

  2. Move, line up and resize controls on a page

    Move, line up and resize controls, and carry them to another page.

  3. Change a control's type, label, colour and value readout

    Turn a knob into a fader, button or dropdown, and set its label, colour and readout.

  4. Group controls into a labelled section

    Put related controls in a labelled box that moves as one.

  5. Add a track level meter or a gain-reduction meter

    Add a gain-reduction meter that binds to the plugin by itself.

  6. Make a layout fit a phone, a tablet and both orientations

    Pages, rotation, and a hand-made layout for each screen size.

  7. Re-bind a control to a different parameter or track

  8. Make fine adjustments with Fine mode and focus zoom
